Vietnam: Why We Went There and Why We Couldn’t Leave
September 15 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join us for this multimedia presentation by historian David Wells, detailing a history of our involvement in Vietnam and how it grew from just a few advisors to over 500,000 soldiers. By the end, over 2.7 million served, 58,000 died, and another 304,000 were wounded. This program will cover MIA/POWs, agent orange, the postwar effects on the veterans and the country and how it relates to today’s conflicts, with a special focus on impacts of Iowa and Nebraska.
