Sweet 98. 89.7 The River. KOIL. The most popular radio stations for young adults had something in common: they all started in Council Bluffs. But radio was more than just a device to get music. It was part of life, with contests, promotions, and publicity stunts bordering on crazy! Richard Warner from the Historical Society of Pottawattamie County will come recount some fun moments from his time as half of Sweet 98’s very first morning team, the Breakfast Flakes. Come to the Council Bluffs Public Library on Monday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. to hear. Join us for an entertaining journey through the history of radio stations in Council Bluffs.
Presented by Richard Warner.
