Rupert Wates in Concert

Rupert Wates will be performing on Thursday evening, June 27, 2024, at 7 p.m. in Meeting Room B at the Council Bluffs Public Library. Born in London and educated at Oxford University, Wates has been a full-time songwriter since the late 1990s, following his signing with Eaton Music Limited. He moved to the US in fall 2006 and is now based in New York City and Colorado.
His music is an eclectic mix of acoustic, melodic art/folk, with hints of jazz, vaudeville, and cabaret. Wates averages 120 live shows annually across America, Canada, and Europe, but he particularly enjoys performing in intimate settings where the audience can focus on the music. For those who enjoyed his 2022 summer concert at Bayliss Park, you’ll be pleased to know that Wates is returning.
