Is U.S. ‘Christian Nation’?

Is the United States a “Christian Nation?” The answer is harder than you might think.
The United States of America’s founding comes with more religious baggage than most Americans realize, such as the 15th century Doctrine of Discovery (the basis for the 1823 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Johnson v. McIntosh), the First Amendment and surprising quotations from our nation’s founders.
Tri-Faith Initiative encourages you to join us Monday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tri-Faith Center, 13136 Faith Plaza in Omaha, for an evening of learning, discussions and activities about religion and the founding of the U.S.
