Get Out of Town, Part 3: South to the Border

The Historical Society of Pottawattamie County’s popular “Get Out of Town” series
continues Monday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Public Library. The “Get
Out of Town” series focuses on areas of the county beyond Council Bluffs, and this
installment will look at the history of the area south of the city to the county line.
Program co-presenter Troy Stolp notes this is an area rich with history from our very
earliest times, including the burial site of the first known inhabitants and the
Mormon Battalion mustering grounds.
